Berlin & Valencia lunch hotspots

Berlin

My Berlin experience was amazing! So much history, great museums, restaurants, bars etc.

We have been to 2 lunch places which I really wanted to share with you. The food was too good to not write about!

Umami (Bergmannstraße 97, Berlin)

This is a Vietnamese restaurant. You can have lunch/dinner on normal tables or on the floor, they seated us to a table where we had to sit on the floor. I loved it as it made the whole experience even nicer! We started with a smoothie and a matcha latte, it looked so pretty and definitely tasted delicious. We had a starter and a main course for lunch. Yes it was a lot but we couldn’t resist all the food. As a starter we had summer rolls and spring rolls which we shared and as main dish we ordered a burger and tuna. Seriously order the burger!! It looks really cool and it was the best burger I have ever had. They served it with sweet potato fries which were so tasty as well. However this place serves the best Vietnamese food in Berlin!

House of small wonder (Johannisstraße 20, Berlin)

When I googled for lunch hotspots in Berlin this place came up everywhere, which made the lunch decision very easy. To be very honest with you I didn’t had a clue what was on their menu. I even googled the exact dishes which were on the menu and I was still thinking; what are they actually serving?! All the reviews were very good so we had faith.

This place is known for being one of the most instagrammable food places in berlin, it looks absolutely gorgeous. You have to walk up the beautiful stairs once you get in to ask for a table. It’s just an entree downstairs but the actual restaurant is upstairs. It was very busy so, we had to wait 30 min for a table, it went fairly quick. When we got the menus I saw something with chicken and decided to go for that (no idea what I had to expect). Guess what, I still don’t have any idea of what I had but ohhhhh that was tasty! They call their food: comfort food with organic, local ingredients, freshly prepared with Japanese flavors so, whatever that means we can guarantee you it’s tasty! This place is always busy and you’ll probably have to wait a little while for a table but it’s worth the wait. Great atmosphere and great food.

Valencia

That one place you MUST visit during a trip in Valencia!

La mas bonita (Passeig Marítim de la Patacona, Valencia)

Sun, beach, good food, what do we want more? Our favourite place for breakfast and lunch in Valencia. They have vegan, gluten-free and any kind of options you are looking for. I had a yoghurt bowl with fruit and a bit of granola which was very yummy. The atmosphere is very relaxed, you could literally sit there the whole day. Beside the fact the food is great everything looks so pretty as well. They have got places right in front of the restaurant, a very pretty backyard at the back of the restaurant with a bar and some comfy places. For the bad weather days; they have got a few tables inside as well. We would definitely recommend the cakes, they don’t only look good but they also taste good, very good!

At the beach they have their own beach bar with very comfy places, sun beds and everything you need for a perfect day at the beach. You can get some drinks and snacks there as well. We can’t wait to get back once we are visiting Valencia again.
