Healthy crisps

Published on 3 August 2018 at 12:00

We all know the feeling of opening a bag of crisps, eat the full bag all by yourself and feeling guilty straight away. And let’s be honest, we’ve been in this situation probably a little bit too often. So, maybe we also wanted to find a healthier option for our own good. They are easy to make and you don’t need much ingredients. Beside that you’ll enjoy making them. Let’s get started!

What do we need?

- Oven
- Oven grill rack
- Baking paper

Ingredients (2 portions):

- 2tbsp Olive oil or truffle oil
- A pinch of Pepper, salt and chili flakes
- 1/2 Sweet potato
- 1 Beetroot
- 1 Carrot

So, once you’ve got these things we can get started.

Pre heat your oven to 180 degrees. Put a layer of baking paper on top of your grill rack.
Wash all the vegetables and dry them very softly with a (fresh) tea towel. Peel the beetroot and slice it together with the carrots and sweet potato into very small slices. Put all the veggies into a big bowl and add any kind of oil you like, we recommend olive or truffle oil. We are using truffle oil this time. Add a pinch of pepper, salt, and if you like chili flakes and mix it all together very gently. Spread the veggies all over the grill rack and place it into the oven for 20/30 min, keep an eye on them! Time to be patient now and before you know it your healthy crisps are ready to eat.

Enjoy your healthy snack!
