All the Dutchies loves tulips, cheese and wooden shoes just like us. We live in a small city called Sneek. Everybody knows the city Amsterdam but no, we don’t live there. So, that’s why we are taking you to the two best food hotspots of Sneek today. Of course, there are many other nice food hotspots in Sneek, but these two are the ones we love.
Royaal Belegd
Breakfast, homemade treats and lunch. They say they only work with the best quality products and we agree with that. Every time we visit Royaal Belegd the food and drinks are so freshly made, everything just taste great! They put so much love in every product created by them. The products they pick are all with good notice/care for people, animals and environment.
As we have been there quite a few times we do have our favorites! Truffle mayonnaise it is, basically anything with truffle mayonnaise is our favorite. If you are not a truffle addict like us, the vegetable club is a very good option as well! On that sandwich you can find spicy hummus, zucchini, mushrooms, cherry tomato’s, and a mix of lettuce. Healthy and so tasty. For the cake lovers you should try out the carrot cake or well actually all the cake and sweet treats are worth trying out!
BUUR
BUUR is a new restaurant in Sneek. They serve coffee, drinks and streetfood. We obviously love food and drinks. So, we had to try it out as soon as we could. And guess what?! It’s delicious! The coffee they serve is from Bocca, which is defiantly worth trying! They serve fair tea from Kusmi (really good!), fresh baked pie with and without sugar. For lunch and dinner they have burgers, salads, pancakes, sandwich, many snacks and they have a breakfast menu which we haven’t tried out YET. The lunch we had was great, both had a vegetarian burger which was very tasty. The burger was served with feta cheese, lettuce and a sauce named tzatziki, you might heard about it before. The juice of the day was strawberry with other fruits, sorry can’t remember all the fruits anymore but it was very tasty and and good for us.. All homemade of course!
Let’s talk a bit about the interior now as that is also way too nice not to write about! Outside on the water side they have those nice picnic tables in a vintage green color. They have a lounge area underneath a little roof attached to the restaurant so, when its rains you will stay dry but still have that outside feeling. As soon as you come inside you feel very homely and the atmosphere is great. They play with different colors and materials which really gives it that street food bar look. Time to check it out yourself!
So, whenever you are in the Netherlands and go to Amsterdam or maybe Sneek it’s worth trying these places! If you do decide to go to Amsterdam there’s a train going to Sneek or if you’ve a car its just over an hour drive. For a fancy breakfast, lunch and dinner place you know where to go now!
